Veterans
Veterans receive round trip airfare from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) to Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI), chartered bus transportation, airport parking, continental breakfast, boxed lunch, and dinner at Mission BBQ. Veterans will also receive a Honor Flight Cleveland polo shirt and baseball cap.
Once you submit an application, you will be placed on a first-come, first-served basis for the next available flight in the following order: WWII veterans first, followed by Korean veterans, Vietnam veterans, then all others.
Veterans are accompanied on the trip by a guardian if they use any type of mobility equipment or if they have the need for one. If you wish to travel with a particular person as your guardian, please fill out the veteran application together. Guardians must be between the ages of 18 and 65 and cannot be the spouse or significant other of the veteran.
You are not required to select your own guardian! If you do not have a guardian in mind, a trained volunteer guardian will be assigned to you.

Guardians
The guardian plays an essential role in the veteran’s Honor Flight adventure. The guardian is a travel companion to the vet who provides one-on-one assistance to assure safety, comfort, and a positive Honor Flight experience.
The guardian assists the veteran through security at the airports, boarding the plane, getting on and off the bus, assuring the vet gets his/her meals, pushing the veteran in a wheelchair (as necessary), and accompanying them to all the memorials.
The cost to all guardians is $400 payable to Honor Flight Cleveland and is due at least one week before the flight.
Guardians must also be between the ages of 18 and 65 and cannot be the spouse/significant other of the veteran.
Your trip will include air transportation to and from Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI), chartered bus transportation, continental breakfast, boxed lunch, dinner, airport parking, and an Honor Flight shirt.
If you wish to travel with a particular veteran, make sure you indicate so on the appropriate line of the application.

Send-Off / Departures
If you would like to come to the airport on the morning of an Honor Flight, you are more than welcome to do so. Check our Honor Flight calendar for the meeting times for any given flight day and show your appreciation by giving them a warm send off.
Welcome Home / Arrivals
Another way to show your gratitude is to welcome the veterans home. It is not uncommon to find families that bring a large group complete with banners, signs, and their love to welcome veterans home. Something that some of these heroes didn’t get when they returned home. If you’d like to do this, you can wait by the information center and the JetBlue ticket counter on the departures level on flight day.
